Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Teen Killed In Southeast Columbus Shooting
Police say a 16-year-old boy has died after he was shot during a fight involving a group of teenagers in southeast Columbus.
Police have identified the victim as Isaiah A. Giles. He was pronounced dead at a local hospital after the Monday night shooting at the Park Trails Apartments off Chatterton Road on the southeast side.
Police say officers were dispatched to the scene following a report of a large fight. Officers returned to the area about 30 minutes later on a call reporting the shooting.
The teen, who would have entered 10th grade this fall, ran after being shot, but later collapsed on a nearby street.
Nobody has been arrested in the shooting. It was the city’s 45th homicide in 2013.
