Recent news reports indicate the oil trapped in underground shale beneath Ohio may not be as easy to get out as many had hoped, and thatâ€™s why four big drilling companies are now selling off thousands of acres of Eastern Ohio land theyâ€™d bought.
But thatâ€™s not changing the minds of activists on both sides of a related issue: whether to hike Ohioâ€™s taxes on oil and gas companies using the drilling technique known as â€œfracking.â€
