The state says Ohio hit another record for the number of people dying from drug overdose deaths, with more than 1,700 such overdose fatalities in 2011.
The GOP State Central Committee voted 48-7 Friday to elect 40-year-old Matthew Borges over Portage County businessman and tea party leader Tom Zawistowski.
A city education commission is scheduled to vote today on proposals they say will improve Columbus City Schools. The proposals include a controversial change to the district’s auditor position.
Police say the victims said they were shot after coming out of an apartment to confront another man who had made derogatory remarks.
