The Ohio Supreme Court has set an execution date for a condemned killer who faked paralysis, then overpowered a deputy, hijacked a pickup truck and shot the driver to death in 1997.

Authorities say a 20-year-old man shot during a confrontation with central Ohio sheriff’s deputies has died. The coroner’s office identified the man shot by a Coshocton deputy Tuesday night as David Stahl. He died at a Columbus hospital Wednesday.
