Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Exhibits Honors Lima Company At Statehouse
A new display at the Ohio Statehouse honors a Columbus-based Marine reserve unit that lost 23 members in Iraq in 2005.
The exhibit honoring Lima Company includes boots and dog tags of the fallen Marines and paintings by a Columbus artist. Fifteen of the 23 who died were from Ohio.
The exhibit will be on display until March 17th.
The Lima Company Memorial has traveled across the country and has been displayed at nearly 70 sites nationwide.
