Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Couple Killed In Buckeye Lake House Fire
Authorities say a husband and wife in their 60s died in a large house fire near Buckeye Lake.
It happened early Thursday near Buckeye Lake in Fairfield County, east of Columbus. The Fairfield County Sheriff’s Office identified the couple killed as Milton Clagg and Mary Clagg, both 62.
Units from multiple agencies responded just after midnight to fight the blaze, which was made more difficult by frigid temperatures.
Other residents got out safely, and nobody else was hurt. The house was destroyed. The Claggs were initially reported as unaccounted for until their bodies were found later Thursday morning.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
