Man Dies After Shooting Outside Columbus Party
Police say a 20-year-old man has died after being shot during a birthday party on the city’s north side.
Authorities were called to a parking lot at 3439 Westerville Rd. at 1:57 a.m. Saturday, where they found the unidentified victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to Ohio State University Hospital, where he died 45 minutes later.
Witnesses said a dispute at the party led to a fight and the shooting.
The incident marks the city’s first homicide of 2013.
