School officials in Springfield are increasing security at Shawnee High School after a student posted on Facebook that he could “do better” than the Newtown, Conn., shooting that killed 26 people.

The apparent threat created safety concerns at the school today and sheriff’s deputies planned to provide extra security at the school.

Deputies took the teen in for questioning, but he has not been arrested or charged.
