Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Teenager Fatally Shot During Break-In
Columbus Police say a 17-year-old boy was fatally shot by a resident after he broke into an apartment.
Police said it happened Wednesday night on the city’s north side.
The teen, whose name hasn’t been released, was shot after breaking in through a front window of an apartment near the intersection of Karl and Morse Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the man who shot the intruder was interviewed afterward and was cooperative. He wasn’t charged, and his name hasn’t been released yet.
The investigation continues. In apparent cases of self-defense, evidence is typically handed over to a grand jury to make a determination.
