Toxicology Tests Underway In Crew Player’s Death
The Franklin County Coroner says it’s still not clear what caused the death of Columbus Crew rookie Kirk Urso over the weekend. Coroner Jan Gorniak.
“There was no definite cause of death at autopsy, seen at autopsy. He did have some non-specific heart changes, but we don’t know what that is until we look at it underneath the microscope and then we can determine whether it’s significant or not significant,” says Gorniak.
Gorniak says it could take up to six weeks to get the results of toxicology tests. The 22-year-old Urso died early Sunday after witnesses called 911 to report he had apparently collapsed inside an Arena District bar.
