A central Ohio native has won an Olympic medal in London.

22-year-old diver and Upper Arlington native Abby Johnston won a silver medal Monday in the women’s 3-meter springboard synchronized diving event, along with her diving partner Kelci Bryant.

Johnston and Bryant finished second to a duo from China.

Johnston called the medal ceremony “the coolest thing” and “a goose-bumps moment.”
