Two years ago, a WOSU investigation found that in 2011 and 2012 Columbus police shot more people per capita than police in New York City. But in the last year the number of police shootings by Columbus officers has dropped.

This week, companies that make it possible for the U.S. to go to war will gather in Columbus.
They’re meeting at the Greater Columbus Convention Center for a conference hosted by the National Defense Industrial Association. It’s a trade association that specializes in educating companies and the government about the link between industry and the military.
