Officials in Columbus and Dayton Dayton are aiming to capitalize on backlash against a religious-objections law in neighboring Indiana that critics say could permit discrimination against gays and lesbians.
Former Ohio Governor Keeps Options Open For Possible Re-run
Former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland this afternoon is campaigning for President Obama in Youngstown. Strickland has stayed active in democratic politics since his defeat in 2010 to Republican John Kasich. Strickland says while he’s lending campaign help to other democrats he’s undecided about a possible rematch with Governor Kasich in 2014.
“I will probably make a decision regarding what I may or may not do around the end of the year.” Strickland says.
Strickland says in the meantime he’ll work aggressively on behalf of both the president and U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown.
Brown faces a challenge from republican Josh Mandel.
