A central Ohio native has been killed in Afghanistan.

The Department of Defense says Army Staff Sgt. Christopher L. Brown was killed in Kunar province on Tuesday.

The 26-year-old Brown graduated from Hamilton Township High School. He was assigned to a battalion at Ft. Carson, Colorado.
