Holiday moods often run the gamut between joy and melancholy. And, an Ohio State University researcher says an individual’s great expectations have a bearing on whether someone smiles or frowns. College of Social Work Professor, Gilbert Greene, says the key is to identify whether stress is likely to help or hurt one’s mood.
Ohio Unemployment Falls Again
The latest unemployment snapshot in Ohio shows a state slowly-but-steadily gaining jobs.
New state figures released this morning show a January unemployment rate of 7.7 percent.
Thatâ€™s down from 7.9 percent in December.
The report says Ohio gained 32,000 jobs in January, with about 11,000 people leaving unemployment rolls.
Service-industry industries reportedly gained 25,200 jobs in January. Professional and business services gained 5,300 jobs, financial activities added 2,400 positions, and government employment rolls increased by about 100.
