One Dead, Four Injured In I-70 Crash

Columbus Police say I-70 near Brice Road has re-opened following a four-vehicle accident.

Sergeant Rich Weiner said one person is dead and another is in life threatening condition after a car headed westbound on I-70 lost control and flipped over the median and into eastbound traffic hitting a semi truck.

“The semi lost control and struck two additional eastbound cars,” Weiner said.

Weiner said the truck driver had minor injuries. Another adult was injured and a two-year-old was taken to Children’s hospital.

Weiner said the crash is still under investigation.
