Man Dead After Apparent Hit-And-Run On Outerbelt
Columbus Police say they’ve found a body on the side of the city’s outerbelt after an apparent hit-and-run accident.
Police suspect 38-year-old Vance Summers was struck by a vehicle that then left the site on I-270 on the city’s east side. Emergency crews pronounced Summers dead at the scene last night near the Main Street exit.
The investigation closed a southbound portion of the highway and an exit ramp for a couple of hours. POlice say they’re “puzzled” by the case, and they’re asking any possible witnesses to come forward.
