A controversial plan to expand private school vouchers for Ohio students is reportedly being scaled back.

Rep. State Representative Matt Huffman took criticism from public school and their allies after announcing he wanted to open vouchers to low-income students from all schools, not just those rated poorly by the state.

He’ll announce details next week, although the new bill will reportedly include lower income requirements, a cap for the amount of tax revenue public districts could lose, and a limit on the number of students who could leave a district.
