Fans Camp Out For Good Seats At OSU-Duke B-ball Match-up
Listen to the Story
For only the second time, Duke University brings its basketball team to Columbus tonight. So, some student fans lined up early and pitched tents outside Schottenstein Arena in a bid to get front row seats.
Pup tents started popping up along the south wall of the OSU basketball arena as early as Sunday night. Mallory Miller is a psychology major from Westlake. She’s hoping to get a front row seat for the nationally televised game
“I’m crazy, I love Ohio State, I was born and raised a Buckeye fan and I would love to get and I would love to get a good set for the Duke game tonight.”
Miller and many of the other student campers say its the first time they pitched tents to get a good seat at a sporting event. A Duke-OSU basketball contest in Columbus is rare. The Blue Devils last visited Columbus on December 30, 1964 when they beat the Buckeyes 94 to 89 in double overtime at Saint John Arena.
