Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
OSU Renames Cancer Center To Honor Stefanie Spielman
Ohio State University is renaming its breast cancer center to honor the late Stefanie Spielman.
OSU President E. Gordon Gee today announced the naming of the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center. It’s to honor Spielman, who died two years ago after fighting a long battle with breast cancer.
The center, formerly called the JamesCare Comprehensive Breast Center, offers complete care to breast cancer patients from prevention and screening to treatment. Gee says leading breast cancer researchers at the center will continue their fight to find a cure.
“It is our shared vision that the Stefanie Spielman Comprehensive Breast Center will be the place that ends breast cancer once and for all,” Gee said.
During her struggle with breast cancer, Stefanie and her husband former NFL player and OSU All-American linebacker Chris Spielman raised more than $9 million dollars for research and breast cancer awareness.
