Some Ohio Honda plants are expected to bring on more workers to build parts for Honda’s new natural gas powered Civic.

Anita Sipes is a spokeswoman for Honda’s Greensburg, Indiana plant. She says the factory is boosting production of the alternative fueled vehicle.

“For sales volume, we are planning at least 2,000 vehicles for our model year 2012, so that’s doubling our volume from model yeasr 2011,” Sipes says.

The company says that will mean more jobs building engine and transmission plants at plants in Russells Point and Anna.
