Italian police say they have found the body of a Powell woman missing in Tuscany for three days, and believe she was the victim of a hit-and-run driver.
Police told reporters at a news conference Wednesday that a body they believe to be 23-year-old Allison Owens was found in a canal beside a heavily trafficked road. Police say she may have been using an iPod and not heard a car approaching.
Tests have been ordered to determine the cause of death.
Owens was in Italy working as a tour guide. She was last seen alive Sunday afternoon.
