Woman, Child Killed After Car Plunges Into Pond
Columbus Police say a young woman and a child are dead and another child is in critical condition after their vehicle drove into a pond last night near the Eastland Mall.
A police report from the department’s homicide unit said officers were responding to a domestic dispute when a car containing 24-year-old Shennel Mallory, a 4-year-old and a 15-month-old went into the pond. Mallory and the 4-year-old died at a hospital, while the 15-month-old was listed in very critical condition at Children’s Hospital this morning.
