Hilliard Boy Dead After Struck By Car

A Hilliard City Schools student was killed Tuesday morning on Scioto Darby Road.
A 10-year-old boy was struck by a car and killed while waiting for his school bus. Columbus Police Sergeant Rich Weiner said the boy died at the scene.
“There were witnesses to the crash. We will be talking to them trying to figure out exactly what happened and how it happened,” Weiner said.
The driver who hit the child stayed at the scene. The child’s name and the driver’s name are not being released at this time
Tjhe accident takes place about two-and-a-half miles down the road from where a crossing guard was struck and killed in April 2008.
