The September 15th execution date for Kevin Keith will not happen after all because Governor Ted Strickland says he’s troubled by the evidence used to convict Keith. The condemned killer says he’s innocent of a 1994 shooting incident in Bucyrus that killed 3 people, including a 4 year old girl. Strickland questioned some of the eyewitness testimony against Keith and says he’s bothered that other suspects weren’t fully investigated. I spoke with OSU sociology professor David Jacobs about how the governor’s decision went against the recommendation by the parole board.
