Republicans in the Ohio Senate are pushing for colleges to cut students’ costs by 5 percent and want the state to set up a drug prison where addicted inmates can get treatment.
Ohio Jobs Picture Shows Slight Improvement.
Ohio saw slight improvement in its jobs picture last month. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says employers added more than 37,000 jobs in April and about a third of those new jobs came from manufacturing.
The hiring of 4,400 temporary census workers also helped to reduce the state’s official unemployment rate from eleven per pent to 10.9%
