Holiday moods often run the gamut between joy and melancholy. And, an Ohio State University researcher says an individual’s great expectations have a bearing on whether someone smiles or frowns. College of Social Work Professor, Gilbert Greene, says the key is to identify whether stress is likely to help or hurt one’s mood.

It’s been legal in Ohio for six years now to carry concealed weapons….and new numbers — just released — show a record-high number of concealed carry PERMITS were issued last year.
While California mostly likely comes to mind first when you think about earthquakes in the U.S., Ohio has its fair share – only less strong. Just Thursday night a town northwest of Findlay had one. WOSU reports it wouldn’t be improbable for earthquake-prone areas to experience one as high as six points on the Richter scale.
Ohio’s ban on smoking in public places has taken a hit. The Franklin County Common Pleas Court has ruled in favor of a Columbus bar owner who’d been suing the state over the $30,000 in fines he’s accumulated since the ban was put in place.
There’s good news and bad news for customers of Columbia Gas of Ohio…and their monthly fuel bills.
