The move to expand gambling in Ohio is getting more complex and confusing as each day passes. There are actually two different ways that slot machines may become legal. The governor and legislators are backing one plan, and some gambling promoters are backing the other. One plan may wind up on the ballot for voters to decide, but now there’s a lawsuit that demands the other plan also be put up for a vote. Meanwhile, some race track owners are supporting one plan but are opposing the other. To cut through the confusion, Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen has this update on the latest developments.
