The Columbus Division of Police has added new duties for three patrol officers. The three have been named Diversity and Inclusion Liaison Officers who will work to build trust between police and the community.

Many of Ohio’s counties face budgetary difficulty right now, and Morrow County is no different. Its commissioners have asked county employees to take two weeks off without pay before the end of the year to help close the budget gap – and the county’s sheriff said the jail may have to close.
US Marshals partnered with state and local law enforcement agencies to make 169 arrests in Central Ohio during the month of June.
The U.S. Postal Service says it’s considering closing or consolidating more than 30 of about 40 branches and stations in the Columbus area to save money.
