As the stalemate over slot machines continues to stall budget talks, the issue of a tax increase to plug the state’s 3.2 billion dollar budget deficit occasionally comes up – but never by state lawmakers or the governor. Ohio Public Radio’s Karen Kasler reports the issue of taxes may be so toxic to politicians because of fears of voter revenge.
