Crime Stoppers Offers Ten Thousand Dollar Reward
Listen to the Story
Investigators in Ohio are offering a $10,000 reward for information in the three-year-old killings of a mother and her three children. The bodies of Jameila West, her 10-year-old daughter and two younger sons were discovered in their Columbus home on June 21, 2006. Police considered West’s estranged boyfriend a person of interest in the case and later charged him with four murder counts. But prosecutors said they needed more evidence for an indictment.
Announcing the reward Monday, police said they were hoping to hear from anyone associated with the ex-boyfriend around the time of the deaths. The ex-boyfriend has denied killing West and the children. Now 27, he’s serving 44 years to life in an unrelated shooting that left a man dead, also in June 2006.
WOSU is not naming the suspect because he has not been charged with this crime.
