An animal rights group that wants to turn the Ohio Statehouse grounds into a pig farm won’t be allowed to do that this week. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports the application by the group to Statehouse management was denied on a technicality.

There was more bad news about Ohio’s floundering racetrack industry today at a meeting of the Ohio Racing Commission. Officials tried to use the bad news as a sales pitch for their proposal to allow slot machines at the tracks. Statehouse correspondent Bill Cohen reports.
