The U.S. Supreme Court hears arguments Wednesday over whether the federal government can pay subsidies to people in Ohio and other states that don’t have state-created health insurance marketplaces set up after the Affordable Care Act.

State lawmakers have reached a deal on a two-year transportation budget that would spend hundreds of millions of dollars in federal stimulus money. House and Senate negotiators voted to pass the plan. It is expected to pass both the House and Senate and be signed by Gov. Ted Strickland. Ohio Public Radio’s Bill Cohen reports.
