The Columbus Public Service Department is proposing a way for residents to regain yard waste pick-up – for $1.90 per week.
The department recently ended its residential yard waste pick-up to save $4 million in a tight budget year. Hundreds of residents complained. Department assistant director Mary Carran Webster says the department is proposing a one-year pilot plan
Next week, city council will hold hearings on the yard waste pick up proposal. Council is scheduled to vote April 6th on the city’s $1 million dollar portion of the plan.
