Veteran journalist Carl Hoffman believes he’s solved one of the great mysteries of the 20th century. In 1961 at the age of 23, Michael Rockefeller – son of New York Governor Nelson Rockefeller and a member of one of the richest and most powerful families in America ¬– travelled to remote New Guinea in search of primitive art for his father’s new museum.
Poll: Governor Strickland Remains Popular
Listen to the Story
A new poll in Ohio shows Gov. Ted Strickland’s popularity has jumped in the last two months. The Quinnipiac University survey finds Strickland has a 63% job approval rating compared with a 54% rating in early December.
The poll released Thursday shows that a majority of Ohioans support Strickland’s calls for a longer school year in Ohio along with mandatory all-day kindergarten. But he faces opposition to his plans to scrap the Ohio Graduation Test. Two-thirds of those surveyed say the test should stay.
The telephone survey of 1,127 Ohio voters was taken between Jan.29 and Feb. 2. The margin of error is plus or minus 3 percentage points.
