Indiana-based artist Tasha Lewis transforms the Conservatory’s gallery with thousands of magnetic cyanotype butterflies printed on cotton fabric. Her blue butterflies hover in mid-air and seem to swarm the space, blurring the connection between the natural and artificial worlds.

The City of Columbus budget picture is getting worse. In November Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman announced the city faced an 83 million dollar budget shortfall. He proposed serious cuts including closing 11 city recreational centers to balance the budget. WOSU reports the city needs to cut an additional $13 million.
The winter storm which is expected to dump up to 5 inches of snow on Central Ohio has promoted many school districts to release students early and cancel some classes.
Columbus City Council appointed two new members last night. But the appointment process turned contentious when council-member Charleta Tavares called it a “sham.”
