Outerbelt Reopens After Fatal Crash
An accident on I-270 northbound just before Roberts Road has claimed the life of one person. Police say the crash involved three cars and a dump truck. Sergeant Rich Weiner, spokesman for the Columbus Division of Police, says, “At this time the investigation continues, there’s not been anyone cited. We do know right now that there has been one fatality and pending notification of the family we do not have that name – or we are not releasing that name.”
The freeway reopened shortly after noon. It was closed for a total of six hours and most of the morning commute.
