A judge in Cleveland has ordered new trials for three men convicted of a 1995 slaying because of what she says was “malicious suppression of evidence” by an assistant prosecutor.

A federal judge in Columbus has revoked bond for several former executives of Dublin-based National Century Financial Enterprises. Last month five executives with the now-defunct company were found guilty on multiple counts of fraud and conspiracy. Yesterday’s ruling to revoke bond comes after the disappearance of one executive, and an alleged plot for the others to do the same.
A small group from the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence commemorated the anniversary of the Virginia Tech massacre at the Ohio State campus. Also, the group was protesting what they call “lax” gun regulations.
