Ohio Highway Patrol Tracks Criminal Activity in Franklin County and Elsewhere
Listen to the Story
Using computers and GPS technology to track criminal activity, the Ohio Highway Patrol finds Franklin County the number one spot for felony and misdemeanor warrants and arrests.
Patrol Sgt. Jeremy Landis admits, though, these numbers might not indicate far more criminal activity in central Ohio. He says patrol posts surround the Columbus area and many troopers work within the outer belt, more so than in the Cincinnati or Cleveland areas.
Sgt. Landis says information on crash sites, speeders and other criminal activity is available to the public on the patrol’s web site.
