A federal mediator is now involved in a contract dispute between Hilliard School District teachers and administrators after teachers overwhelmingly defeated the district’s latest contract proposal.
The murder of 17-year-old Dennis Lewis last month disturbed many people. Lewis was a member of East High School’s marching band and the National Honor Society. But now an arrest has been made in his murder.
Democrat Senator Hillary Clinton at one time had more delegates than her opponent Senator Barack Obama. But that’s changed. As Ohio’s March fourth presidential primary draws near the candidates are campaigning more aggressively. Clinton’s daughter, Chelsea, visited several Ohio colleges Wednesday in hopes of drawing young voters to her mother’s campaign. Clinton made her first stop at Ohio State University.
Early morning temperatures are in the low 20s across much of Central Ohio this morning making for slick sidewalks and roadways. The combination of overnight snow and icy conditions has forced Columbus City Schools to close for the second consecutive day. Other districts have also closed or delayed classes this morning.
