Ohio may hit a historic benchmark in the next few years. Its population may stop growing, for the first time ever. But some experts have different ideas on how to change that.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety is trying to facilitate more outreach programs to learn about the state’s growing diverse populations so that ODPS can provide more people with the proper safety services. In its first steps towards reaching this goal, ODPS hosted an information forum in Columbus today.
The Ohio State football team will, for the second straight season, play for the national championship. Last year Ohio State finished undefeated and was favored to win. But the Buckeyes were soundly defeated by the University of Florida in the BCS National Championship Game. And as WOSU’s Steve Brown reports, that loss may be contributing to a relative lack of excitement about this year’s finale.
