Sex Offender Special License Plate Debated in Senate Committee
Some call it the modern day equivalent of a “scarlet letter.” The plan is to require sex offenders who are no longer in prison to use green license plates on their car or truck.
Supporters of these special plates say they would warn children to stay away. The Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee is holding hearings on the proposal, and the hearings have attracted those who strongly supporter the measure and those who firmly oppose it.
