Ban on Electronic Video Machines Similar to Slots Goes to Governor
Governor Ted Strickland is expected to sign into law a bill aimed at ridding Oho of electronic video games. The games are similar to slot machinies and pay out cash or expensive prizes.
With very limited debate, state legislators Tuesday gave their final approval to the plan.
Their action follows an influx of so-called skill-based machines thought by some state officials to be illegal.
The legislation prohibits Tic Tac Fruit and similar games that make any type of cash payment. It also caps other prices at a value of $10.00.
