Governor Ted Strickland is now saying he’d welcome to Ohio — war refugees from Iraq. That’s a turnaround from last week, when Strickland was telling President Bush not to bring any war refugees to the Buckeye State.
It’s been 45 years since Ohio’s John Glenn made his historic flight. On February 20, 1962 Glenn became the first American to orbit the earth. Tuesday at COSI, Glenn recalled the flight, the preparations for it and the accolades that followed.
