A Columbus Police deputy chief says officers could have done a better job handling rowdy crowds after the Ohio State football team won the national championship.
Storm forces second day of closures
For a second day, a winter storm of snow, sleet and freezing rain has forced a near shut-down of non-essential Central Ohio services and businesses.
Columbus and Suburban school districts have cancelled classes for the day. Ohio State University has closed its Columbus campus. Many businesses and government offices urge their employees to stay home today.
The storm is blamed for at least one death. Authorities say a Cincinnati area girl was killed when an ice-covered tree branch fell on her.
