Six year old Eastside boy killed by school bus.
Columbus police say a six-year-old boy has died after being hit by a school bus.
Sergeant Kevin Corcoran says it occured just after 8:30 this morning. He says the child had been sitting in his grandmother’s car outside Scottwood Elementary School on the city’s east side, waiting for a bus to take him to Maybury Elementary.
Corcoran says when the boy saw his bus coming, he ran across the street in front of it and was struck.
The boy’s name has not been released. Police say he died later at Columbus Children’s Hospital.
Corcoran says results of the investigation will determine whether any charges are filed in the accident.
