Two years ago, a WOSU investigation found that in 2011 and 2012 Columbus police shot more people per capita than police in New York City. But in the last year the number of police shootings by Columbus officers has dropped.

Ohio’s contest for governor this year was remarkable for many reasons. Among them the Republicans nominated an African-American&and Democrats nominated a congressman from Appalachia.
Meanwhile, political junkies and activists from across the country had their eyes on Ohio, since it was a key swing state in 2004 and promises to be one again in 2008.
