Delaware County fires social worker in baby death case
The Delaware County Commission has fired a children’s services supervisor after the death of an 11-month old baby. Lee Hayes’s termination is effective tomorrow. She was on paid leave.
The firing comes after complaint that Delaware County Children’s Services mishandled complaints that 11-month old Nicholas Goodrich was being abused. The baby died December 12th. His mother and her boyfriend have been charged in connection with his death.
