A resolution honoring Ohioan and Olympic athlete Jesse Owens has been approved by the U.S. Senate.
Final Results Show Pryce Retains Congressional Seat
The Franklin County Board of Elections today certified results from a hotly contested race for U-S Congress in Central Ohio. Final vote counts show Republican Incumbent Deborah Pryce won re-election by 1,054 votes over Democratic challenger Mary Jo Kilroy. Kilroy picked up more than 2,000 votes in the recount. Preliminary figures on election night showed Pryce with a lead of more than 3,000 votes. A recount is possible after the certified results are sent to the Ohio Secretary of State’s office.
