Two years ago, a WOSU investigation found that in 2011 and 2012 Columbus police shot more people per capita than police in New York City. But in the last year the number of police shootings by Columbus officers has dropped.
Funeral Services set for two Ohio Highway Patrol Troopers
The Ohio Highway Patrol says funeral services will be held this weekend for two patrol officers killed in a fiery car crash in Gallia county yesterday.
A funeral service for twenty-nine year old Trooper Joshua Risner is scheduled to be held at the Oak Hill High School in Oak Hill.
Forty-five year old Sergeant Dale Holcomb’s funeral service is scheduled for Sunday at the University of Rio Grande.
Both officers were assigned to the Gallipolis Office of the Ohio Highway Patrol.
Thirty-two year old Lori Smith of Vinton was also killed in the crash.
